Together we are mighty

This year has not started how it was meant to. My dear friend, collaborator and colleague has found himself with the prospect of raising his child without her mother.

I know Tee wanted to keep this a private matter, but word hit twitter within hours and now the genie cannot get back in the bottle.

So here it is. The sharp end of life. The bit no one expects or wants.

I know that the wheels grind slowly on this and Tee and his young child are looking at significant bills after the death of his wife Natalie. So I have started this ChipIn account. Money will be going to Tee Morris’ paypal to first of all pay off these bills which loom and then into an account for his little girl.

I have gone on and on about community again and again. Tee has given selflessly to my podcasts and many, many others. He is the originator of podcast audio fiction. The first. A founder of Podiobooks.com and a writer of many books on social media.

Tee doesn’t know I am doing this, but cast on distant shores this is the least I can do. I hope you can spare a few dollars for someone who has bought joy to so many. Every little bit helps.

Pippa, you are an amazing woman. I didn’t even know this kind of thing existed. Well done. Tee is so lucky to be able to call you, “friend”. Thank you for finding a way for us all to help. Little gifts when put together can make a big difference. Sending good thoughts to all.

Thanks for thinking of this, Pip. Money should not have to be at the forefront of his worries at a time like this.

Tee’s such a sweet guy and it is reflected in the quality of his friends, like you.

Thanks, Pip. It’s hard to come up with concrete ways to help distant friends and people who’ve worked hard to bring us happiness. By setting this up from across the globe, you’ve not only helped Tee, but you’ve allowed the rest of us to help him, too … if only in some small way.

My heart goes out to Tee & Sonic Boom. I cannot imagine their grief. I’ve never met Tee, but without his Dummies book, I wouldn’t have had the courage to podcast. Without his Survival Guide to Writing Fantasy, I would have missed a lot of valuable advice. It’s so hard to believe that a man who was so giving would have something so precious taken from him. He doesn’t deserve this. Thanks for helping us to help him, Pip.

Pip, thank you for setting this up for Tee and Sonic Boom. Please tell him that the Watch the Skies crew in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania is thinking about him and his daughter today.

Pip dearest, thanks so much for doing this and giving us a way to put our love and care for Tee and Sonic Boom into action. You’re a true angel.

Pip, I can’t think of words meaningful enough to express my gratitude for what you are doing to help Tee and Sonic Boom.
Thank you. Tee I’m sorry, so very sorry.

Thank you for doing this, Pip. Tee is an inspiration to many of us (so are you, of course) and this are indeed bad times…

I’m sorry to hear of his loss. I’ve loaned my support. If there’s anything else I can do just email me.
