People want stories about exotic locals and characters. A book about the alternative history and culture of New Zealand has got that in spades! And it's not like New Zealand is a country no one's ever heard of! At the very least, anybody who's ever seen a little series of films called Lord of the Rings ought to know it was shot in New Zealand. I've been to New Zealand. I had only a week to spend there, and it wasn't enough. I'm glad I can get a little taste of it again through Weather Child. Thank you for podcasting this book.
